READY?

Well, we've been waiting quite a while to welcome you to 23Things International 2021. (We haven't thought up a snappy acronym for this yet, but are open to suggestions...)

Working with colleagues from Surrey, Otago, AUT, Cambridge, Avondale and Florida has been a real joy and privilege, discussion what topics would be most important and interesting to researchers in every field and at different career stages. We hope we've come up with some useful topics, and that you enjoy the expertise from our many contributors.

The very first 'Thing' is to get set up. Introduce yourself to your pod, subscribe to this blog (using the box at the bottom of the home page), sign up as a member to use the forum (top right of the home page) and follow us on Twitter: @23_Things. If you have not received your pod introduction email, please check your junk folder, and if still nothing, contact Mike: M.Rose@surrey.ac.uk

Each blog will look something like this, though we have many different writers lending their knowledge and style. We'll also save the Things for you to refer back to later, if you're not able to get fully to grips with a topic in the week it pops up: THINGS

Above all, we want this to be a flexible, friendly, and collaborative space, so feel free to approach the blogs and tasks in the way most useful to you, and to find fun and inventive ways of staying in touch with your pod. The forum is also great place to share your thoughts with the wider community.

Looking forward to meeting you all as we go!

Mike, Maria, Swapna, Kim, Sarah, Kwong Nui and Christian

I still say meeting over Teams would be easier.
